We’ve got a special episode today for all you NISSAN fans or just plain JDM fans! Today, let’s dive into the storied history of one of automotive’s more famous tuning divisions. Introduced in 1984, Nissan’s NISMO division made waves ever since it was announced. Short for Nissan Motorsports International, NISMO has long been known to bring motorsport-inspired production cars to the masses in the form of legends like the Skyline R-32 NISMO, R-33 NISMO, R-34 NISMO, R-35 NISMO, as well as special legends like the GT-R R33 NISMO 400R, the GT-R LM, the NISMO 270R, etc.

The list goes on and on. NISMO has dedicated itself as a division RUN BY ENTHUSIASTS, so let’s dive into the beginnings, the road to now, and taker a look at some of the standout vehicles that made it’s way to the track, as well as the road.

Load Rating… you’ve heard us talk about it, we’ve even made a few videos about it! But, does it really matter when you’re in the process of selecting a wheel? Simply put, a wheel’s Load Rating indicates the maximum static load that the wheel is designed to carry. Finding out what load rating you need for your car is easy as well! Wheel Spacers can be more complicated than you think…


Wheel Spacers… I’m sure you’ve used them or know somebody who uses them. Maybe you got a new set of wheels but the fitment isn’t perfect and you’d like to push the wheels out a bit more?

Spacers can play an important role when it comes to fitment, however Wheel Spacers can be more complicated than just slapping them on your hub and fastening your wheel. While they may seem like an easy solution to improve the stance or clearance of your vehicle, improper installation or choosing the wrong type can lead to serious safety issues.

While at SEMA 2024, we had some questions about brakes that we knew could only be answered by one of the industry’s very best. So, we stopped by the Power Stop booth to chat with Jake W. about brake upgrade kits and how to choose the right set up.

We also met with Mitch of Hawk Performance, and avid racer Dennis C. of Auto Cannon fame as well! These guys broke down exactly what was needed for questions like:

“I take my daily driver to the track sometimes, how should I choose a brake setup?”

“How does a brake pad with a lot of initial bite affect overall stopping power?”
