the PERFECT Miata Build to GET LAPS?  Jeff Wasilko NA Miata for Gridlife

This isn’t a show car. It’s a GET LAPS car.

In this episode of CARNATOMY, we break down Jeff Wasilko’s purpose-built NA Miata — a lightweight momentum monster designed to do one thing exceptionally well: make drivers faster.

Jeff is a race instructor, and this car is his classroom. Let’s take a walk around his NA Miata Build here from @LimeRockPark  at @Gridlife  Circuit Legends!

Under the hood sits a 2.4L Ecotec swap, delivering reliable, usable power in a perfectly balanced chassis. Supporting the drivetrain is a dialed-in suspension setup featuring Ohlins coilovers, tuned for maximum feedback and consistency lap after lap.

At each corner, the car rides on KONIG Hexaform wheels wrapped in sticky track-focused rubber — lightweight, strong, and built to handle abuse.

In this episode, we dive deep into:

  • The full engine bay and Ecotec swap details
  • Suspension geometry and Ohlins setup philosophy
  • Wheel and tire package selection
  • Aero choices that keep the car planted
  • A stripped, functional cockpit designed for focus and driver development

This NA Miata isn’t about dyno numbers or parking lot points. It’s about seat time, consistency, and chasing faster laps — whether you’re a student or an instructor.

This WRX might be the perfect TIME ATTACK build… | CARNATOMY

In this episode of Carnatomy, we take a deep dive into Gridlife Time Attack driver Joshua Halka’s 2011 Subaru WRX and break down what makes it such a focused and effective track weapon. Built to handle the demands of competitive time attack, this WRX blends smart engineering, proven components, and driver-driven development into a package that’s fast, reliable, and purpose-built.

A standout detail of the build is Joshua’s choice of KONIG Hypergrams. As one of KONIG Wheels’ most iconic designs, the Hypergram has earned its reputation through lightweight construction, strength, and real-world motorsports performance. On this WRX, they’re not just for looks. They play a critical role in reducing unsprung weight and improving overall handling on track.

We walk through the car’s setup, discuss how each modification supports Joshua’s driving style, and explore why the Hypergram remains a go-to wheel for grassroots racers and professional drivers alike. Whether you’re a Subaru enthusiast, a Gridlife fan, or someone building a street-to-track car, this episode offers a closer look at how thoughtful parts selection turns a WRX into a true time attack machine.
